Musk hit back after Jerome Pesenti, lead of Facebook’s AI division, criticized Musk’s warnings about the dangers of artificial general intelligence (AGI), after CNBC ran a story that included claims such statements were sensationalist. “I believe a lot of people in the AI community would be ok saying it publicly,” Pesenti wrote on Twitter. “[Musk] has no idea what he is talking about when he talks about AI. There is no such thing as AGI and we are nowhere near matching human intelligence....

On June 26, Henry, who has played Cleveland on Family Guy for 21 years (and four on spin-off The Cleveland Show), tweeted: “It’s been an honor to play Cleveland on Family Guy for 20 years. I love this character, but persons of color should play characters of color. Therefore, I will be stepping down from the role.” At the time, however, Henry had already recorded a number of Season 19 episodes, which means that his replacement will not be voicing the character until later on in the episodes....

Sandy beaches are out and snowy mountaintops are in, as Ubisoft’s highly anticipated open world adventure Far Cry 4 readies itself for release. Set in the fictional nation of Kyrat (closely based on Nepal) in the Himalayas, Far Cry 4 casts players as Ajay Ghale, an expatriated son of Kyrat who returns to the country to scatter his mother’s ashes, but is soon drawn into a bloody civil war against the self-appointed ruler Pagan Min....

The makers of Far Cry 4 knew what they had from the very start, deciding that unlike many major game franchises, it wouldn’t be the hero or his mission that would first be highlighted. In fact, when the game’s official reveal came back at E3 2014, it was the villainous Pagan Min - the game’s antagonist - who became the star of the show. And in a new trailer, Ubisoft continues to show that as tyrannical and oppressive as Min may be, players are still in for a few surprises....

Reports recently emerged that Russian forces had taken complete control of Lysychansk, the last city it would need to fully control the Luhansk region in Eastern Ukraine. Along with Donetsk, the region makes up the highly contested Donbas area, which has been at the heart of Russia’s invasion from the beginning. On Saturday, the National Guard of Ukraine spoke out against these claims during a telethon, explaining that the city remains under Ukrainian control despite Russian efforts, Interfax reported....

The streaming service had edited the 1999 hit film ending to tell viewers police had “rapidly figured out the whole plan and arrested all criminals.” The hit David Fincher-directed film’s ending famously shows the beginning of the protagonist’s crusade against a consumerist society beginning, with several city skyscrapers falling to the ground. Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter star in the film and it ends with the narrator (Norton) killing off his imaginary alter ego, Tyler Durden (Pitt), and then watching as the buildings explode alongside Bonham Carter’s character, Marla Singer....

More than 10,000 U.S. war dogs were declared “surplus military equipment” and left behind or euthanized during the retreat. In a war he didn’t live to know existed, the CGI Dean will play Lieutenant Rogan, a platoon leader who orders Carson to shoot the dog when Carson first encounters him in the field....

Fans who have been waiting patiently finally received some good news about a pair of highly anticipated Fire Emblem games earlier today in a new Direct presentation from Nintendo. As part of the Nintendo Direct video posted today, Senior Product Marketing Manager Bill Trinen confirmed that the long running series is set to receive a new entry on the 3DS handheld in 2016. While the game does not currently have a title, Trinen did reveal that players will be able to customize their hero and choose between two kingdoms that are currently at war with each other....
